Purple in the morning, blue in the afternoon, orange in the evening

Had to spontaneously appear in Chicago again this week. This is akin to pleasing children by pulling a nickel from one's ear, doing a tap dance in a clown outfit and not eating a handful of pills.

Ugh. Heath waiting to happen. Many, many pills. Pharmaceutical candy. I know the difference between and among them. Not to disparage the man and his friends. Heath lived right where I work, for god's sake. He made a grave mistake. Still, for some reason, I am a living, breathing chemical experiment with a working (literally) knowledge of how targeted molecules interact with a certain free radical.

The Lower East Side is way more weird than any part of the Village. Maybe it's because NYU students gentrify the Village while lending it a tourist-friendly street cred. Like it or not, the LES might just be a collection of people who can't, or won't, quite find the Brooklyn Bridge. And don't even get me going about Chinatown.

Is this the path of least resistance, or, more reasonably, the path of Piece de resistance?

I have a shitload of frequent flier miles just ripe for cashing in.

Have you considered moving to NYC? Maybe renting a 400 sq. foot, fifth floor walk-up above a Chinese take-out place on Orchard Street, south of Delancey? Or possibly something a bit more swank... right there in TriBeCa?
