Tell me which Ween to listen to. I've been listening to too much Edward Sharpe. Need a drastic flip side.

All of it, PK. All of it.

God Ween Satan is extremely lo-fi, recorded on a tascam 4-track in 1990. You can start with that, but it's a total drug album.

More polished stuff is the later years of Ween...

White Pepper, The Mollusk, Quebec, Chocolate & Cheese, Pure Guava.... go out and buy the entire Ween catalog. You will love it. Rock on!

I have a Tascam. I found it in a trash can in front of the Broadway Diner in 1997. I made stupid 4-tracks on it with voice, a Casio keyboard, and tapes of college roommates' ramblings. It broke, though. I've kept it in case I figure out the bionic technology to fix it.

I'll start with the God Ween album.

Did you listen to the album yet?

Ha, I have almost all of the stuff you listed. God Ween Satan is a personal favorite - good for when you're stoned.
All of Weens stuff is on the abstract side (methodically done, though) but that CD is especially out there. Pk, you would probably like 12 Golden Country Greats, Chocolate And Cheese and/or White Pepper.... Pure Guava is pretty cool, too.

On a different note - Joe, did you ever see the video footage of Ween performing with Yoko Ono? Funny stuff!

Hi Ann! No, I have not seen that footage. YouTube has video of Gene Ween singing "Oh Yoko" on his own, but not with Yoko. Rock on!
